Day 1: Unshakeable Faith in the Face of Opposition

Devotional
Have you ever faced a situation that made you want to give up? Paul's experience in Lystra is a powerful reminder of what true resilience looks like. After being stoned and left for dead, he didn't just survive - he went back to the very place where he was attacked. This wasn't mere stubbornness or bravado; it was a deep-rooted conviction that his mission was greater than his personal comfort or safety. Paul's extraordinary courage flowed from an unshakeable faith in the risen Christ and a burning passion to share this truth with others, regardless of the cost.

"But Jews came from Antioch and Iconium, and having persuaded the crowds, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead. But when the disciples gathered about him, he rose up and entered the city, and on the next day he went on with Barnabas to Derbe.." - Acts 14:19-20

Reflection Question
Think about a time when you faced opposition in your faith journey. What motivated you to keep going, and how did that experience shape your relationship with God?

What kept Judson going under all that hardship, under all that persecution?
What do you do when the cost of serving Christ feels unbearable?
What do you do? What keeps a person faithful in the fire?
~ Pastor Mike Mura

Prayer
Lord, when opposition comes and my faith is tested, help me remember that You are greater than any challenge I face. Grant me the courage to stand firm, not in my own strength, but in Your unfailing presence. Amen.
