Day 1: Divine Direction

Devotional

Sometimes we find ourselves planning our path with the best intentions, only to have God redirect us in unexpected ways. Just like a GPS recalculating our route, God sometimes says 'turn here' when we least expect it. This isn't a sign of failure or divine disapproval - it's evidence of God's active involvement in our journey. When doors close unexpectedly or plans change suddenly, we can trust that God is working behind the scenes, orchestrating circumstances for His greater purpose. These moments of redirection aren't roadblocks; they're divine detours leading us to better destinations than we could have planned ourselves.

And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them. - Acts 16:6-7

Reflection Question
When was the last time God redirected your plans? Looking back, can you see His purpose in that change of direction?

“God leads, but not always in the ways that we expect
or in the ways that we plan for.”
~Pastor Mike Mura

Prayer
Lord, help me trust Your guidance even when it differs from my plans. Give me the courage to follow Your redirections, knowing that Your way is always better than mine. Amen.
