Day 2: Not Alone in the Mission

Devotional
Have you ever felt like you're serving God solo, just hoping you're doing it right? Take heart - you're never alone in ministry. Jesus isn't watching from a distant heavenly bleacher; He's actively involved in every aspect of His church's mission. When we share the gospel, teach a class, or serve others, we're not working alone but in partnership with the living Christ. He's present in every conversation, active in every ministry, and working through every act of service. This truth should both comfort and empower us - we're not carrying the weight of ministry alone.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. - Matthew 28:19-20

Reflection Question
How does knowing that Jesus is actively involved in your ministry change your approach to serving Him?

“From the earliest chapters of Genesis, God has been on mission,
working to redeem and to reconcile a people for Himself.
And Jesus did not ascend to heaven to simply cheer us on from a distance.
No, he continues to actively lead and build his church.”
~Pastor Mike Mura

Prayer
Jesus, thank You for Your active presence in my life and ministry. Help me to serve not in my own strength, but in constant awareness of Your presence and power. Amen.
