Day 3: The Wisdom of Stepping Back

Devotional
Paul faced stubborn rejection in the synagogue after three months of reasoning from Scripture. Rather than continuing to cast pearls before those who trampled them, he exercised godly discernment and withdrew with the disciples. This wasn't giving up but recognizing that only God can open hearts. Sometimes stepping back creates space for God to work differently. There is a kind of humility in knowing when to step away. It's not failure; it's faithfulness. Walking away is not giving up; it's giving God room to work. Trust that God's timing and methods are always wiser than ours.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
- Proverbs 3:5-7

Reflection Question
Is there a situation in your life where you need to step back and give God room to work? How can you trust His timing and methods?

“There is a kind of humility in knowing when to step away. And it's not failure, it's faithfulness.”
- Pastor Mike Mura

Prayer
Lord, help me to recognize when it's time to step back and give You room to work. Teach me to trust Your timing and methods, knowing that they are always wiser than mine. Amen.
