Day 2: Adding What is Lacking

Devotional
In Acts 19, Paul met twelve men who had heard John's message of repentance but not the full Gospel about Jesus. They knew the prequel to the Gospel but not the full story. Paul patiently taught them, adding what was missing in their understanding and experience. This is a powerful reminder that God adds what is lacking when the Gospel is faithfully proclaimed. Sometimes, we may feel like our understanding or faith is incomplete. But God is faithful to bring us to fullness. He takes our sincere but incomplete understanding and adds to it, making us whole in Him.

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.
- Isaiah 9:2

Reflection Question
Is there an area in your faith where you feel incomplete or lacking? How can you invite God to add what is missing?

“These men had heard John's message of repentance but not the full Gospel about the arrival of Jesus.
They knew the prequel to the gospel, but not the full gospel.”
- Pastor Mike Mura

Prayer
Lord, I acknowledge that my understanding and faith are sometimes incomplete. I invite You to add what is lacking and bring me to fullness in You. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Amen.
