Hope Brighter Than The Sun: Day 4
Day 4: Hope That Sends
Devotional
True hope doesn't just change you; it commissions you. When Paul encountered the risen Christ, he wasn't just converted - he was given a mission. The same hope that saved him also sent him to help others move from darkness to light. This is the natural progression of authentic faith. When we truly understand what Christ has done for us, we can't help but want others to experience the same freedom and joy. The hope that confronted Paul that day didn't just convert him, it commissioned him. If you've been brought out of darkness into light, you've been sent to help others see. This doesn't mean everyone becomes a missionary or pastor, but it does mean everyone becomes a witness. Your changed life becomes a testimony to God's transforming power. Real repentance, real faith, real hope produces a changed life - not a perfect life, but a changed life. Following Jesus is so much more than attending church or checking a religious box. It means stepping into a life of purpose and mission and obedience. When we share our hope with others, we'll encounter different responses - some will reject it, others will avoid it, but our role is to lovingly share the incredible hope we've found.
All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation
- 2 Corinthians 5:18

Prayer
Lord, help me see that the hope You've given me is meant to be shared. Give me opportunities and courage to help others discover this same hope.
