Hope When the Sun Doesn’t Shine: Day 1

Sermon Video

Day 1: When the Sun Doesn't Shine‍ ‍

Devotional
Have you ever felt completely lost, like you're drifting without direction? Paul and 276 others experienced this literally when violent storms stripped away their navigation tools - no sun, no stars, just endless darkness and chaos. For many days, they couldn't see where they were or where they were going. Perhaps you can relate. Life's storms have a way of disorienting us, making us feel like we're just trying to stay afloat. But here's what's remarkable about this story: even when human navigation failed, God's voice broke through the darkness. In our most desperate moments, when we can't see the way forward, God hasn't gone silent. He still speaks to us through His Word, offering direction when we feel most lost. The same God who guided Paul through that terrifying storm is present in your chaos today.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit. - Psalm 34:18

Reflection Question
In what area of your life do you feel like you're drifting without clear direction right now?

“Even when the sun doesn't shine, even when all hope seems lost,
God has not gone silent.” — Pastor Mike Mura

Prayer
Lord, when I can't see the way forward and feel lost in life's storms, help me remember that You are still speaking. Open my heart to hear Your voice through Your Word.
