In moments of distress, our natural tendency might be to seek solutions everywhere else before turning to God. Yet He stands ready to hear us, eager to respond to our cries. Unlike our sometimes unreliable human connections, God never sends us to voicemail or leaves our messages unread. He is consistently present, always attentive, and unfailingly responsive to His children's calls.
In the day of my trouble I will call to you, for you will answer me.

Dear God, forgive us for the times we've turned everywhere else before coming to You. Thank You for always being available and ready to hear us. Help us make You our first response in every situation. Amen.
