Day 1: The Fine Print Nobody Warned You About

Have you ever signed something without reading the fine print? Most of us have. We assume it's manageable, that we can handle whatever's buried in the details. But when it comes to the law of God, the fine print is worth reading very carefully. Deuteronomy 27:26 doesn't ask for your best effort. It demands perfect, unbroken obedience to everything God has commanded. Not most of it. Not when it's convenient. All of it. Always. That's a standard none of us can meet. And deep down, we know it. We know we should be more patient, more honest, more generous, more loving. But we aren't. Not perfectly. Not continuously. Here's where the encouragement comes in: God didn't hide this standard to trap you. He revealed it to show you that you need a Savior. The law was never meant to be a ladder you climb to earn God's approval. It was meant to point you to the only One who could meet every condition on your behalf. You were never meant to carry this weight alone. And the good news is, you don't have to.

Prayer
Father, thank You for being honest about the standard so I would stop trusting in myself. Help me to see the law not as a burden to carry, but as a signpost pointing me to Jesus. Amen.
