Real Belonging Day 5
Day 5: Living in God's Larger Story
Life often feels like walking into a movie late, leaving us living according to limited narratives shaped by past experiences and hurts. These small stories keep us focused on ourselves, our control, and our abilities, often rooted in pain or fear. God's larger story reveals how He works through His church to accomplish His purposes. Moving from our small stories to God's grand narrative involves recognizing broken narratives, embracing vulnerability, experiencing God's love through His people, and letting go of control. Through this journey, we can find our place in God's greater purpose and understand our true identity as His chosen people.

Devotional
God's story is far grander than our personal narratives. It's a story of redemption, purpose, and hope that spans all of history. When we align our lives with His larger narrative, our struggles and successes take on new meaning. Our past pain can become a platform for ministry, our weaknesses channels for His strength, and our ordinary moments opportunities for extraordinary impact.
even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.
- Ephesians 1:4
Reflection Question
What part of God's larger story might He be inviting you to participate in right now?
No matter how small, no matter how insignificant,
no matter how much suffering,
God wants to use your life for his glory.

God, thank You for including me in Your grand narrative of redemption. Help me see beyond my small story to embrace the role You've prepared for me in Your larger purpose. In Jesus' name, Amen.
