Deep within every human heart lies a longing for something more. We see it in our fascination with hero stories, our pursuit of adventure, and our desire for lasting love. These universal yearnings reveal a greater truth - we were created for an eternal purpose. When we recognize this innate desire for meaning, we can better connect with others who are searching and show them how Jesus is the ultimate satisfaction of these heart yearnings.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.." - Ecclesiastes 3:11

Question How do your deepest longings and desires point to your need for something greater than this world can offer?
Deep, deep down and every one of us, even when we say these things can never happen,
when we read fantasy stories, we find them so satisfying. — WHY is this?

there still lies within all of us a memory trace of ultimate reality.

God, thank You for placing eternity in our hearts. Help me recognize these deeper longings as signposts pointing to You. Use me to help others discover the true source of meaning. Amen.
