Day 5: Sharing the Treasure

Devotional
When someone discovers something truly valuable, they can't help but share it with others. Imagine finding a cure for cancer and keeping it to yourself—unthinkable! The greater the treasure, the more compelling the desire to share it. Jesus is the greatest treasure of all. He offers what everyone is searching for—to be fully known and fully loved. He sees every part of us and loves us anyway. He didn't wait for us to clean up our act but gave His life for us while we were still sinners. This is the treasure that never fades or disappoints. When we truly discover the value of Jesus, it transforms not just our hearts but also our hands and feet. We become eager to share this treasure with others who are still searching. We recognize the people in our lives—at school, work, in our neighborhoods—who are looking for meaning, purpose, and unconditional love. Sharing Jesus isn't about imposing religious rules on others. It's about introducing them to the treasure who can satisfy their deepest longings. It's about helping them see what they might be walking right past—the greatest treasure hidden in plain sight. As you've spent this week reflecting on Jesus as your treasure, consider who in your life needs to hear about Him. Don't just leave with a full heart; leave with ready feet to share the treasure you've found.

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up.
Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
- Matthew 13:44

Reflection Question
Who in your life is still searching for meaning and purpose, and how might you naturally share with them the treasure you've found in Jesus?

“Don't just leave here with full hearts. Leave here with ready feet.
Because there are people in your life, at your school, at your job,
in your neighborhood, who are still searching.”
~Pastor Mike Mura

Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for being the treasure that fully satisfies. Fill my heart with such joy in You that I can't help but share You with others. Give me courage and wisdom to point those around me to the treasure they've been searching for all along. Use me to help others see Your true value. May I not just leave with a full heart but with ready feet to share Your love. Amen.
