Day 1: The Story Continues

Devotional
Have you ever watched a movie that ended without a clear resolution? That's exactly how the Book of Acts concludes - Paul sits in a Roman prison, and then the story just stops. But this isn't poor storytelling; it's intentional. Luke wanted us to understand that while Paul's earthly journey was winding down, the Gospel's journey was far from over. The mission Jesus gave His disciples in Acts 1:8 remains unfinished today. Over 7,000 people groups representing 3.5 billion people still haven't heard the Gospel. That's nearly half the world's population! This reality might feel overwhelming, but it's also incredibly hopeful. It means God is still writing His story, and He wants to use ordinary people like you and me to carry it forward. Your life isn't a random collection of circumstances. Where you live, work, and go to school - these aren't accidents. God has strategically placed you exactly where you are to be part of His ongoing mission. The same Gospel that transformed your heart is the same power that can transform your neighbor's, your coworker's, or your classmate's heart.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you,
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the end of the earth.” - Acts 1:8

Reflection Question
How might God be positioning you in your current circumstances to be part of His ongoing mission?

“Acts doesn't end. It continues. Not on the pages of Scripture, but in the lives of God's people. People like you and me.” — Pastor Mike Mura

Prayer
Lord, help me see my life through Your eyes. Show me how You want to use me right where I am to advance Your kingdom and share Your love with others.
