To Be Continued… : Day 2
Day 2: Chains Can't Stop the Gospel
Devotional
Paul found himself in the most unlikely place for ministry - chained to a Roman guard in prison. Yet instead of seeing his circumstances as a roadblock, he saw them as a platform. Those guards couldn't escape; they were literally a captive audience for the Gospel! What seemed like the end of Paul's ministry became one of his most strategic opportunities. Too often, we pray for God to change our difficult circumstances rather than asking Him to use us within them. We think our witness would be more effective if only we had a different job, lived in a different neighborhood, or faced fewer challenges. But Paul's example shows us that our current circumstances aren't obstacles to our witness - they're often the very platform for it. Maybe you're stuck in a difficult workplace, dealing with challenging family dynamics, or facing health struggles. Instead of waiting for things to get better before you can serve God effectively, consider how He might want to use you right now, right where you are. Your faithfulness in tough times often speaks louder than words ever could.
At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word,
to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— Colossians 4:3
Reflection Question
What current circumstance in your life could God transform from an obstacle into an opportunity for witness?
“Church, your current circumstances are not an obstacle to your witness.
They are often the very platform for it.” — Pastor Mike Mura
Prayer
Father, instead of asking You to change my circumstances, help me trust You to use me powerfully within them. Open my eyes to the opportunities You've placed right in front of me.
