How To Run Without Running Out: Day 3
Day 3: The God Who Never Grows Weary
Devotional
In a world where everything has an expiration date, where batteries die and relationships fade, there exists One who never runs out of power. The everlasting God - the Creator of the ends of the earth - does not faint or grow weary. His understanding is unsearchable, and His strength has no bottom. This isn't just theological poetry; it's the bedrock reality that changes everything about how we approach life's challenges. While we measure our days in coffee cups and count our energy in percentages, God operates from an infinite reservoir. He doesn't need rest, doesn't require recharging, and never experiences the 3 PM crash that leaves us reaching for another cup of caffeine. But here's what's truly remarkable: this inexhaustible God chooses to share His strength with us. He doesn't hoard His power or ration His energy. Instead, He gives power to the faint and increases strength to those who have no might. Notice the qualification for receiving this strength - it's not being strong or having it all together. The requirement is simply knowing how desperately you need it. When you acknowledge your weakness, you position yourself to receive His limitless strength. Today, instead of trying to muster up more willpower or push through on your own, consider drawing from the well that never runs dry.
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
- Isaiah 40:28
Reflection Question
How might your daily struggles change if you truly believed that God's strength is limitless and available to you?
“He gives power to the faint. To him who has no might, he increases strength.
And notice who receives it. Not the strong, not the ones who have it all together.
He gives power to the faint and to those who have no might.” — Pastor Mike Mura
Prayer
Everlasting God, thank You that Your strength never fails or runs out. Help me learn to draw from Your limitless power instead of relying on my own finite resources.
