Real Belonging Day 3

Day 3: Finding Our True Value

Life often feels like walking into a movie late, leaving us living according to limited narratives shaped by past experiences and hurts. These small stories keep us focused on ourselves, our control, and our abilities, often rooted in pain or fear. God's larger story reveals how He works through His church to accomplish His purposes. Moving from our small stories to God's grand narrative involves recognizing broken narratives, embracing vulnerability, experiencing God's love through His people, and letting go of control. Through this journey, we can find our place in God's greater purpose and understand our true identity as His chosen people.

Devotional

In a world that constantly assigns value based on achievement, appearance, or status, God offers a radically different measure of worth. He declares that we are chosen, adopted, and deeply loved - not because of anything we've done, but simply because we are His. This truth liberates us from the exhausting pursuit of proving our worth and allows us to rest in our identity as God's beloved children.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places
- Ephesians 1:3

Reflection Question

How would your life be different if you fully embraced your value as God's beloved child?

I am not lowly in the sense of unvaluable.
Yes, I'm poor in spirit, but God, in this passage,
speaks to how valuable we are.
~ Sean Stewart

Prayer

Father, help me to see myself through Your eyes. Thank You for loving me unconditionally and declaring my worth. Help me live from this place of security in Your love. Amen.
